Caramelized Peach Habanera Shrimp
Caramelized Habanera Shrimp is sweet and spicy with that caramelized burnish that makes the mouth happy. This makes an amazing dish over a bed of rice or when filling your favorite tortillas to make tacos. Easy to make, Caramelized Peach Habanera Shrimp provokes a strong wow factor with friend and family.

Directions
Step 1
Peel the shrimp (removing tail is optional). Wash and dab dry with paper towel. Salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2
Mix jam, perserves, vinegar, hot sauce and agave nectar into a medium size sauce pan. Medium heat and stir.

Step 3
Once the mixture becomes more liquidy, add cracked pepper. Reduce heat and continue stirring for ~ 5 minutes. Add more hot sauce if needed for taste.

Step 4
Take off heat and transfer to a bowl. Let sauce rest for 5 minutes.

Step 5
Add shrimp to bowl and coat with sauce.

Step 6
Heat oil in a large skillet until slightly smoking.
​
Step 7
Add in about half the shrimp and saute until cooked through and sauce has begun to caramelize. Add more oil and repeat with the other half of the shrimp.

Step 8
Remaining sauce can be used as a condiment.

½ Cup Peach Jam

½ Cup Peach Preserves

½ Cup Agave Nectar

1 Tbsp Peach Habanera Hot Sauce

1 Oil (ex. Grapeseed)
